Account & pricing
Is Ledgerly really free?
Yes. The free plan has no time limit and lets you create up to 5 invoices per month, manage your clients and access all basic features. No credit card is required to sign up.
What is the difference between plans?
The Free plan covers the essentials (5 invoices/month, PDF, client management). The Starter plan (€9.90/month) removes the invoice limit and adds automatic reminders and accounting export. The Pro plan (€19.90/month) includes Peppol sending, quotes, recurring invoices and priority support.
How can I change my plan?
From your My account → Subscription space, you can switch plans at any time. The change takes effect immediately; the difference is prorated for the current month.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes, with no fees or notice period. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your data remains accessible for 30 days after cancellation, then is permanently deleted.
Do you offer a free trial for paid plans?
Yes, each paid plan comes with a 14-day free trial, no credit card required. You can explore all features without commitment.
Invoicing & Peppol
What is Peppol and do I need to activate it?
Peppol is the European electronic invoice exchange network. In Belgium, it is mandatory for invoicing public administrations (B2G). If you only have private clients (B2B / B2C), you don't need it. Peppol sending is available on the Pro plan.
Are my invoices compliant with Belgian requirements?
Yes. Ledgerly generates invoices compliant with Belgian legislation: sequential numbering, mandatory legal mentions (VAT number, IBAN, payment terms), correct VAT calculation based on your regime (subject, exempt, co-contractor, etc.).
Can I create invoices in foreign currencies?
Yes, you can choose the currency (EUR, USD, GBP, CHF…) per invoice. The invoice is generated in the selected currency; VAT is still calculated according to applicable legislation.
Can I import my existing clients and invoices?
Client import via CSV is available on paid plans. Import of existing invoices is not yet supported but is on our roadmap.
Security & data
How is my data protected?
All your sensitive data (client information, amounts, bank details) is individually encrypted with a unique random key generated when your account is created. This key is itself protected by a server-side application secret (double layer). Even in the event of direct access to our database, your data remains unreadable without both secrets.
Where is my data hosted?
Ledgerly servers are located in the European Union, in compliance with GDPR. No data is transferred to third countries.
Can I enable two-factor authentication (2FA)?
Yes. Ledgerly supports 2FA via authenticator app (TOTP, compatible with Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.) and by email. You can enable it from My account → Security.
How can I export or delete my data?
You can export all your data (clients, invoices, profile) from My account → Personal data. You can also request permanent deletion of your account from this same menu, in accordance with GDPR.
Is Ledgerly GDPR compliant?
Yes. Ledgerly is published by a Belgian company and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the right to access, rectify, port and erase your data.
Usage
Does Ledgerly work in multiple languages?
Yes. The interface is available in French, Dutch, English and German. You can change language at any time from the top-right menu. Generated invoices use the interface language at the time of creation.
Can I add my logo to my invoices?
Yes. You can upload your logo from your profile. It will automatically appear on all your invoices and quotes.
Is there a mobile app?
Ledgerly is a web application optimised for all devices (responsive). A native iOS/Android app is under development and will be available soon.
How can I contact support?
