Frequently asked questions

Is the generator really free?

Yes, up to 5 invoices per day, with no sign-up or credit card. Previews don't count. To invoice more, a Ledgerly subscription gives you unlimited invoices, Peppol sending and automatic reminders.

What must appear on an invoice in Belgium?

The date and a unique number following a continuous sequence, the supplier's name, address and VAT number, the client's name and address (and VAT number if VAT-registered), the description and quantity of goods or services, the unit price excluding VAT, the VAT rate and amount per rate, and the legal notice for exemption or reverse charge. If the date of supply differs from the invoice date, mention it in the description.

Is a PDF invoice still valid since the Peppol obligation?

Since 1 January 2026, invoices between VAT-registered businesses established in Belgium must be structured electronic invoices, in practice via the Peppol network. PDF is still used for individual clients and, generally, for clients established abroad. For your Belgian business clients, Ledgerly sends your invoices via Peppol.

Is your data stored?

No. The PDF is created on the fly and then forgotten by the server. Your business details are kept only in your browser so you don't have to type them again; clearing the site data removes them.
